Makoa-Farm, is an old coffee estate on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We accommodate our guests in comfortable, spacious rooms, most of which feature a spectacular view of this magnificent mountain.

Makoa is perfect for outdoor activities incl horse rides and animal lovers will enjoy our array of domestic & wild resident animals. For those more adventurous we will arrange multiple horseback safaris into the African Wilderness areas, emphasis is on game-viewing from horseback in beautiful scenery.

The rooms on the farm are simple yet comfortable.

The kitchen serves amazing dishes, with vegetables and fruit from the garden.

Makoa Farm is located near the Machame Gate of Kilimanjaro and offers access to the spectacular rainforest on the lower slopes of the mountain.

Makoa Farm offers horse rides on and around the farm, at all levels.
For the horse riding safaris, some experience and a good condition are required. The safaris are personal and off the beaten track. You ride your horse for 4-6 hours a day and on all safari trips you are accompanied by your host or hostess who makes your holiday an unforgettable experience.
