Day 1: Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins early as your guide picks you up from your Arusha hotel in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser. Enjoy the sunrise views as you drive through Maasai plains and villages on your way to Tarangire National Park, about 2.5 hours away.
After check-in at the park gate, start your first game drive through Tarangire’s diverse habitats. Your guide will help you spot elephants under the shade of giant baobabs, prides of lions resting in the grasslands, and graceful giraffes feeding on acacia trees.
Stop at a scenic picnic site for a delicious packed lunch with views of the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. Keep your camera ready — you might see elephants and antelopes drinking nearby.
