Lamai Serengeti Lodge

Lamai Serengeti lies in the far north of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, just south of the border with Kenya. It’s set high up in the beautiful Kogakuria Kopjes, with views out towards the Mara River Valley and the Lamai Wedge.

Between July and October the camp has a prime position for the great wildebeest migration, and is close enough to the Mara River for guests to witness river crossings.

Lamai Serengeti has two lodges, one with eight rooms and one with four.

All rooms have an African theme and are styled in soothing earth tones.

Both lodges each have their own lounge and a restaurant with a small library. The natural swimming pool is built in the rocks.

Lamai Private Camp

The luxurious Lamai Privat is Lamai Serengeti’s little sister and also lies on the rocks of Kogakuria Kopjes in the north of the Serengeti National Park, near the Mara river.

Lamai Private is an independent camp, exclusively for one group of up to ten people. The rooms have an open front and a beautiful view of the plains around.

The lodge is in the perfect location for safaris from July to October when the great migration passes by.

Lamai Privat has five bedrooms, one with a separate children’s room, and large porches. The lodge has an African theme and is styled in soothing earth tones.

Lamai Privat has its own lounge & dining and a swimming pool.

Lake Masek Tented Lodge

Nestling between the prime wildlife areas of central and southern Serengeti. The area is witness of the Great Migration from December to March.

This luxurious tented camp enables guests to be within reach of the Great Migration and to explore remote, beautiful corners of the Serengeti with excellent resident game.

The thirty-six spacious and permanent tents of Lake Masek Tented Lodge are tastefully decorated and fully equipped. You can shower under the starry sky.

The main building at Lake Masek Tented Lodge includes a restaurant, lounge and a porch with great views over the lake Masek. Enjoy a wonderful massage in the massage cabin by the lake.

Lahia Tented Lodge

Lahia Tented Lodge is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking the Central Serengeti with views towards Western Serengeti. It is conveniently located within reach of mythical locations such as the famous kopjes masais, the museum at the Olduvai gorge, Seronera valley and the Grumeti river.

There are 25 ensuite, standard double tents all built on wooden platforms with a balcony offering views of the Serengeti. The bathrooms have a flush toilet, hand basin and shower with hot water. Lights are powered by solar with a back up generator.

One of the most striking features of the lodge is the view. The main house offers a unique 360 º panoramic view of the landscape where if they are lucky, guests can observe the Great Migration spectacle from the comfort of their tents. The main area is built on a raised deck and is decorated in a modern African style. Here you will find the lounge, a dining room and a swimming pool where guests can relax after a day on safari. Most evenings guests dine outdoors under the stars following a sunset drink around the campfire.

Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge

The lodge camp is located in Central Serengeti on the slopes of a hill with fantastic views and it is the ideal starting point to visit the great plains at any time of the year.

The camp consists of 25 luxury tents with en-suite bathroom.

Each tent is a built on a wooden platform. The main house caters with a terrace, restaurant, lounge and swimming pool.

Klein’s Camp

Perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills, Klein’s Camp boasts magnificent views of an exclusive wilderness concession that borders the vast Serengeti plains.

This classic Serengeti lodge is located just outside the Serengeti in a private concession.

You have a good view of the animals from all sides, even the kitchen offers an unforgettable sight.

Klein’s Camp has ten luxury cottages, made of local stone and thatch. They have wooden floors and feature a classic interior.

All dishes at Klein’s Camp are fresh and healthy and are prepared with vegetables from their own organic garden. The dining has a large fireplace and, just like the lounge and bar, a great view.

Kirurumu Serengeti Camp

Kirurumu Serengeti Camp is one of the best value luxury mobile tented camps in the Serengeti. It is a very good camp in its own right, but if you’re looking to see Mara River crossings without blowing the budget this camp stands out head and shoulders above the rest.

The luxury camping style ensures that you can be content in your (extremely) comfortable bed whilst simultaneously immersing yourself fully in the atmosphere of the wild Serengeti just outside your window.

For its price the camp is unbeatable. Although the cost is more in line with a large souless hotel, Kirurumu Serengeti definitely boasts the opposite. The quality of the camp is only slightly lower than the luxurious mobile tented camps that we are such fans of.

Kirurumu Serengeti North Camp has seven comfortable tents with a bathroom with safari shower and toilet.

Kimondo Camp

Kimondo is a mesmerising mobile safari camp that tracks the seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration from the dramatic Lamai Wedge and Mara River in winter to the lush southern Serengeti grasslands in the height of summer.

Kati Kati is a mobile camp strategically situated in central Serengeti, ideal for exploring the extensive Serengeti plains. In its comfortable tents one will feel completely immersed in the surroundings and one can enjoy the rich animal life and vegetation of the area.

An original form of accommodation which resembles the old camps of the first explorers in Africa, with all the commodities of today.

Grumeti Tented Camp

Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is ideally situated on the banks of a tributary of the Grumeti River. The proximity to water draw a profusion of game looking for water and seasonal resident hippo pods can be seen in the river pools, right in from your tents.

Located in the remote western reaches of the Serengeti, there are few other lodges here, and one rarely sees other vehicles. This makes for an exceptional game viewing experiences with the feeling of the ultimate exclusivity.

Rustic yet sophisticated, this camp has a warmth to it that make you feel at home and part of the family. All ten of the tented suites feature shaded private veranda’s that look out over the river frontage.

Big day beds make this the perfect place to while away the afternoon. The interiors combine hues of wildebeest grey with accents of natural stone and bone, and stone shower towers are open to the sun and stars.
