Tarangire Safari Lodge

Overlooking the Tarangire River which never dries up Tarangire Safari Lodge offers visitors breathtaking views of beautiful landscapes and a wide array of animals from its deck, thatched tents and bungalows.

Accommodation is in thatched twin, double or triple tents with mesh-screened windows, or five bigger, circular, Maasai-style bungalows which are perfect for families. They are all en-suite with solar-heated showers and each has its own veranda.

With its large veranda and lounge and bar area, you can easily spend your days with a pair of binoculars, sipping on a tall drink, watching the animals come and go on the plains and river banks below. The open-air dining area shares these spectacular views, so you won’t miss anything!

A sparkling pool and shallow splash pool for kids under beautiful acacia trees is the perfect place to cool down after a dusty and hot game drive.

Also at the main lodge, the Baobab Boutique offers a selection of handmade Tanzanian gifts to take back home.

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge is located in the heart of Tarangire, Tanzania’s wild land and landscapes.

Tarangire is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and a gentle backdrop of baobabs. It is the lesser visited but more intriguing park on the northern circuit.

At Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge, we have 12 permanent tents made up of nine standard suites, one honeymoon suite with outdoor shower and 2 x two bed room inter-connected family suites.

The camp is open all year around and especially during the dry months, the massive elephant herds travel through the corridor between Manyara and Tarangire and spend their time in and around the park.

This is because of their ability to uncover permanent sources of fresh water. We endeavour to retain the uniqueness and intimacy of the camp, while being directed by the location, wildlife and other factors of responsible tourism.

Sanctuary Swala Camp

Sanctuary Swala is located in a secluded area of Tarangire National Park, one of the most exciting and least visited parks in the country.

In the heart of Maasai country and a remote corner of the Tarangire, in total seclusion amongst giant acacia trees and looking out beyond the flat savannah, Sanctuary Swala offers a very exclusive safari experience.

The picturesque landscape is filled with ancient baobab trees, ambling elephants and birds in flight. Built to the highest eco-friendly standards, this camp has a particularly low-carbon footprint.

Sanctuary Swala Camp consists of twelve double tents, set up in such a way that maximum peace and privacy are guaranteed.

The dining, lounge and library are in the main tent that offers amazing views from the wooden porch. The swimming pool overlooks a water place where animals regularly come to drink.

The individual tented rooms are spacious with canvas sides set on raised hard wood floors with thatch roofing.  Spectacular views of Lake Burunge can be seen from the camp.

The main building offers a central lounge, bar and dining area with a raised wooden deck.

This elevated platform is the ideal venue to relax and enjoy a drink as the sun disappears over the lake, or to simply sit and enjoy the warm fire place.

Form the camp many additional activities are possible such as guided nature walks, bush dinners, balloon safari, or visits with the local Mbuwge or Datoga tribes, visiting traditional markets and small villages.

Kuro Tarangire

Kuro Tarangire is an intimate tented camp with a distinctive wood and thatch mess, situated in one of the best game areas of Tarangire National Park.

Elephant frequently wander through the camp, as do a range of other wildlife.

The camp makes a perfect complement to our other camps, Serengeti Safari Camp and Entamanu Ngorongoro

Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge

Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge is built on the site of the old Tamarind Camp, in land we own and looking out on a flood plain that is seasonally a rich feeding ground for elephant and much else.

It is bordering the park boundary, and is ideally situated being only 10 minutes off the main tarmac road and only 15 minutes drive from the main Tarangire park gate.

There are 10 permanent tented cottages built in exactly the same style as the new Kirurumu Manyara Lodge cottages and the standards are the same high standards you have always been familiar with at Manyara.
