Day 4: Serengeti Game Drive en Route to Northern Serengeti – Mara River
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive through the Serengeti as you journey north toward one of Africa’s most dramatic wildlife arenas—the Mara River.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch or a picnic, then head out in the afternoon to begin Mara River crossing sightseeing. Watch as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras gather at the riverbanks, building tension before the crossings—one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth.
As the sun sets, return to camp with stories already etched into memory.
Day 5: Full Day Mara River Game Drives – The Great Migration
This day is fully dedicated to the Serengeti Mara River crossing experience—the heart of the Great Migration.
Start early with a morning Mara River game drive, when predators are active and herds move cautiously toward the water. After lunch and rest, return in the afternoon for an evening Mara River game drive, increasing your chances of witnessing dramatic crossings.
Optional Experience: Take your safari to new heights with an early morning hot air balloon safari (at an additional cost), floating silently above migrating herds before a champagne bush breakfast
Day 6: Mara River Sunrise Safari & Drive to Lake Natron
Wake before dawn for early morning coffee and a final Mara River game drive, capturing the soft golden light and last migration moments.
After a late breakfast, leave the Serengeti behind and travel to the remote and striking Lake Natron area, dominated by volcanic landscapes and views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Maasai.
In the afternoon, set out on a guided walk to Ngare Sero (Ngarasero) Waterfalls. Hike through a narrow gorge, swim in natural pools, and relax in one of Tanzania’s most untouched wilderness settings.
