Simba Farm Lodge

Simba Farm has been a family run and owned establishment since 1981. At this farm, wheat and barley are grown for the local Tanzanian market. Simba Farm is a working farm on 7,500 acres of rolling hills in West Kilimanjaro, offering breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro, the Maasai steps and Mount Meru. The farm is at 1,700 meters nestled between national forest and open plains.

In 2014 Simba Farm opened up a lodge promoting Agro-tourism. The Old Guest House was built in the 1920, maintaining its original rustic charm and warmth. The Guest House has six bedrooms with a spacious living room, surrounded by lush gardens.

There are also two newer Jacaranda country Cottages. All meals are prepared with fresh vegetables from the gardens. This establishment provides a relaxing, child friendly atmosphere with lots of activities to do. We also have a campsite for the people who decide to camp.

Makoa Farm

Makoa-Farm, is an old coffee estate on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We accommodate our guests in comfortable, spacious rooms, most of which feature a spectacular view of this magnificent mountain.

Makoa is perfect for outdoor activities incl horse rides and animal lovers will enjoy our array of domestic & wild resident animals. For those more adventurous we will arrange multiple horseback safaris into the African Wilderness areas, emphasis is on game-viewing from horseback in beautiful scenery.

The rooms on the farm are simple yet comfortable.

The kitchen serves amazing dishes, with vegetables and fruit from the garden.

Kambi ya Tembo

West Kilimanjaro Permanent Luxury tents.

Facing the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanajro and the endless African Savannah, Kambi ya Tembo offers guest fantastic views.

The camp consists of 14 tents each with en suite facilities.The camp has eco-friendly electric power supplied by solar panels, with a generator as a back up.

Nearest airstrip: Kilimanjaro International Airport 1 hour and 45 minutes away and West Kilimanjaro Airstrip.

Activities: Enjoy the hospitality of the Masai people, bush walks, visit Masai villages, hikes in Kilimanjaro National Park.
