Mbali Mbali Katavi

Mbali Mbali is a collection of five stunning lodges in Tanzania. Each location has been carefully selected for their unique experiences, across incredibly diverse ecological areas, taking you on a trail less travelled to some of Tanzania’s most untouched and unique National Parks.

If you are looking for an authentic safari experience under traditional canvas showcasing spacious views and enriching culture, Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is the perfect choice. Set within a 25,000-hectare concession area, Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is located 3.5 km from the main entrance of the Tarangire National Park, overlooking a branch of the Tarangire River itself.

Katavi Wildlife Camp

Katavi Wildlife Camp is set amongst the trees that fringe the Katisunga plains. From your vantage point either on the veranda of your tent or from the upper viewing lounge you can join the predators watching the plains game during the day. Then anticipate the excitement of the predators hunting their dinner as the game move back to the trees in the evenings.

Katavi consists of 6 large Meru-style tents, overlooking the plain; each built on a raised wooden platform, and sheltered from the midday sun by a traditionally thatched roof. Each tent is en-suite, and has it’s own large veranda with hammock and chairs. There are four double tents and two twin tents, and all have a safe.

After dark, guests are escorted to and from their tent by Askari.

Chada Katavi

Nestled under the mottled shade of large acacia and tamarind trees, on the edge of the scenic Chada floodplain is the beautiful Chada Katavi – a secluded, classic safari-styled camp, remotely situated to offer its guests unrivaled game viewing in pristine wilderness. Six beautifully furnished tents boast fine wooden furniture, comfy beds, and a lovely bush bathroom set behind the tent.

Chada Katavi offers its guests breathtaking panoramic views, which can be enjoyed from the privacy of the tents or from the beautifully appointed dining area. Katavi National Park is home to a plethora of wildlife. Here guests can view vast herds of buffalo, elephants and an assortment of stealthy predators. Adventures include twice-daily game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles, bush walks with an armed guide and fly camping which will take guests to the heart of Katavi’s untamed wilderness.
