Spend ten days in some of Tanzania’s premier destinations. Start your adventure in the most tranquil setting: Arusha, the undisputed gateway town to the northern Tanzania safari circuit. Gran Melia is nestled in an idyllic estate with lush, manicured gardens frequented by various exotic birds—over 500 species have been recorded in the area. It offers breathtaking views of the Maasai Steppe and Mount Meru.
Following the Wildebeest Migration in Serengeti National Park
You then move to an intimate tented camp that follows the Wildebeest Migration across Tanzania’s flagship conservation area, the Serengeti National Park. You spend several days in two locations (Safari and Beaches) to ensure front-row seats to all the action. Depending on your travel time, you could see spectacular river crossings or catch the dramatic calving season. The Serengeti is home to the greatest concentration of wildlife on Earth and is a genuinely magnificent safari experience.
Secluded Beach Bliss at Melia Zanzibar
Finally, get whisked away from the action to a secluded, palm-fringed beach with powder-white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. Spend your last few days unwinding in the peaceful atmosphere of Melia Zanzibar’s private ocean-front bungalows on Zanzibar’s northeastern coast. Explore the rest of Spice Island on day trips to the historical Stone Town and Prison Island and the fragrant spice plantations. Go snorkelling, scuba diving, sea-kayaking, or sailing, or soak up the sun beside the pool or in your hammock.

Arrival and Accommodation in Arusha
The trip starts in Tanzania, where you are collected from the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to the 5-star Luxury Hotel in Arusha. This growing city lies near the foot of Mount Meru, serving as the travel hub for safaris to Tanzania’s famous Northern Safari Circuit.

Journey to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge
After breakfast, we continue by road from our Lodge to the Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge. We stopped to visit the Olduvai Museum and Gorge, where fossils of our earliest human ancestors and their tools have been unearthed. There is also the option of visiting a Maasai village to encounter Tanzania’s best-known ethnic group – the semi-nomadic Maasai. Then, we enjoy an en-route game drive to our luxury-tented camp into the world-renowned Serengeti National Park.
Wildlife Safari in the Serengeti National Park
Spend time at wildlife games and view the beautiful Serengeti. The largest national park in Tanzania, Serengeti, covers about 14 760 km² of open plains and wilderness. This unique wildlife reserve hosts an awe-inspiring abundance of large mammals, including masses of herbivores such as wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topi, buffalo, and hartebeest. The Serengeti Park is famous for predator populations and giant cats – lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 4: Journey to the Ngorongoro Crater | 1 Night

Enjoy an early breakfast and a half-day of wildlife game viewing in the Serengeti. Then, we depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a game drive en route.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Zanzibar

Exploration of Ngorongoro Crater and Maasai Culture
After breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a six-hour game drive in this exceptionally wildlife-rich game park. Ngorongoro, the world’s largest unflooded caldera, hosts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Almost every large mammal species of Africa is commonly sighted on game drives in this crater, from black rhinos to spotted hyenas. In the afternoon, we visit one of the local Maasai villages. We then proceed to Arusha and take a 1-hour flight to Zanzibar; you will be met by our guide and transferred to the beach resort on the northeastern coast of Zanzibar.

Leisure and Exploration in Zanzibar
The next few days are spent relaxing on the white sand beaches, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, and enjoying your luxury Zanzibar beach resort at leisure. The islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago are famous for their idyllic tropical beaches and are known as the Spice Islands for the exotic spices grown here. Visit the spice plantations to smell and taste the brightly coloured and aromatic herbs, such as turmeric, ginger, black pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon. You can take a boat ride to one of the smaller islands to relax and explore or go scuba diving. Snorkelling and scuba diving are popular due to the rich marine life in these clear waters.

Day 10: Beach Resort to Zanzibar Airport

In the morning, you will be transferred to the Seronera airstrip for a charter flight to the northern Serengeti, where you will arrive at the Olakira Tented Camp. This safari camp migrates yearly between two spectacular locations in the Serengeti’s north and south. The north is reserved for famed river crossing sightings at the Mara River.
Thousands of wildebeest brave the waters where crocodiles and hippos lie in wait. Here, you will discover Africa’s wilds and inhabitants while enjoying luxurious tented accommodations in one of the world’s most famous regions. You will also embark on a walking safari, bringing you closer to this pristine environment’s intricacies.
