6 Day Southern Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Mikumi National Park

We will pick you up from your Hotel in Dar es salaam or Upon arrival at Mwalimu Nyerere International Airport (DAR), you will be met by your professional safari guide and begin your scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s most accessible wildlife destinations. After arrival, check in at Mikumi Safari Lodge and enjoy the surrounding wilderness.

Day 2: Full-Day Mikumi National Park Game Drive
- Mikumi, Tanzania
After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a packed picnic lunch. Mikumi is known for its open savannahs and excellent wildlife viewing, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and large herds of antelope. Return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxed sunset dinner.

Day 3: Walking Safari & Udzungwa Mountains Excursion

Day 5: Full-Day Ruaha National Park Safari
After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Ruaha National Park, renowned for its large elephant populations, big cats, wild dogs, and diverse birdlife. Ruaha offers a true wilderness experience with fewer vehicles and raw African landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner under the stars.
