9 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha
- Arusha, Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing after your journey, enjoying the views of Mount Meru and preparing for your upcoming safari adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park Safari – Karatu
- Tarangire, Tanzania
After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full game drive with opportunities to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, drive to the cool highlands of Karatu.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park & Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour
- Mto wa mbu, Tanzania
Begin the day with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, known for its scenic landscapes, tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and rich birdlife. Later, visit Mto wa Mbu Village for an authentic cultural experience, including a guided village walk and a traditional hot local lunch. Return to Karatu for the evening.

Day 4-6: Karatu – Serengeti National Park ( Spend 3 nights )

Day 5: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration (seasonal). Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives or a full-day safari with picnic lunch, guided by an expert safari guide.
Day 6: Another Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Enjoy another full day of wildlife viewing in different areas of the Serengeti, maximizing your chances of incredible sightings and photographic moments. Optional experiences such as a hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
- Ngorongoro, Tanzania
Depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a game drive on the crater floor. The crater offers one of the best chances to see the Big Five in one day, including the endangered black rhino. After lunch, ascend and drive back to Arusha.
